Headspace, the Link, Youth ARC, The City of Hobart

 

sThe QuizzaCode Blue is a filmmaking program for young people, aged 16 to 25 for young people who are/or have experienced mental health issues. This is a creative program where participants will collaborate with professional filmmakers to write, shoot and produce two or three short films.

All participants wrote a short film and learned how to use professional broadcast quality film equipment, learning Directing skills and then applied these skills on a film shoot.

From the process two films, Sombra and The Quizzard, were created. These films screened at various festivals around the world.

MyState Student Film Festival (Aus), Poppy Jaspar International Film Festival (USA), Light up the Lanes (Aus)

Awards: Winner of Best Drama, Best Screenplay, Best Original Music Score & the Post Year 10/TAFE/UNI category! [MyState]. Victoria Bremnar and Sam Tooker also won Most Engaging Talent at MyState.

The Quizzard Screened at:

InShort International Film Festival (Nigeria), Tasmanian Breath of Fresh Air Festival (Aus), Light Up the Lanes (Aus)
